If you’re a nut for walnuts, you’re gonna love this recipe.
Eat it with apple slices, or carrot sticks, for a snack, or use it as you would your favorite almond or peanut butter. How ever you decide to eat it, you really can’t go wrong with this rich, fresh tasting walnut butter. The best part is how simple it is to make! You can have some ready to eat in under 15 minutes, and its taste gets even better after a day or two in the fridge.
Yield: 1 Cup
Serving size: 2 Tbsp
Fiber: 2 grams
Protein: 5 grams
2 cups of walnut pieces
1/8 tsp of fine sea salt
4 tsp of walnut oil
- Place nuts into a food processor that has been fitted with a steel blade. Grind the mixture (scraping it down as needed), for 2-3 minutes, or until it resembles a pasty flour that sticks together when you pinch it.
- Add the salt.
- While processing, gradually add in the oil. Continue to process until the walnuts bind together to form walnut butter.
- Store in a closed container in the refrigerator.
